Greeters were friendly, but happened to be the only people to acknowledge our presence in the church. Enjoyed the music and the head pastor's messages. Gave the church a real shot and attended 3 weeks. The church claims to be non-denominational, but is very Pentecostal. An associate pastor got on stage, spoke in tongues for an extensive period of time and asked everyone to do the same, while at the same time references scriptures in the website about parameters of gifts of the Holy Spirit that contradict this practice. If you're looking for a Pentecostal church, that has a passionate staff and extended services that drag on like you entered a revival, this church might be for you. I just wanted to leave a review so others can get a better idea of what you're walking into. I know the atmosphere is something that some people aren't looking for. It's definitely not like any non-denominational church I've ever visited! Every church isn't everyone's cup of tea. This one's not for me and did a middle of the road review (3 stars) for that reason. Also, due the fact it's seemingly described inaccurate on the website. This could be a great church for you. :) If you're looking for a new church home, I don't think that you could do much better than Life City Church outside of Pickerington, Ohio. The door greeters immediately make you feel welcome. The congregation is made up of a large range of ages and they are also eager to shake your hand to make you feel welcome. Praise & worship is upbeat and heartfelt, making it easy to enter enter into the throne of God. Pastor Matt does most of the preaching / teaching. He does more teaching than preaching, which I appreciate. His lessons are easy to follow and full of scripture but expect to go down the occasional rabbit hole. I usually don't leave reviews but this church has changed my life, my children and grandchildren's future. This church accepts anybody and everybody and will love on you like you're family! I've never seen a church not have clicks. Every church I've ever went to there's always been groups or clicks of people and this church, when you walk in, everybody is loving on everybody and that's a fact. Pastor Matt Rice is incredibly anointed and when he teaches I always feel like he is talking to me. He is a bible-based teacher who preaches directly out of the word. His wife Pastor Bryn is also incredibly anointed! The worship team is anointed. THE BEST worship team ever!! Im not kidding. This place is on fire for God and Revival is breaking out. Seeing people be healed, miracles... Miraculous miracles. I am excited even typing this out because I love this church so much!!! We're waiting on you...so come see us!!! ❤️ I love this church & taking the next steps to become a member. I have been praying for years to find a church closer to me that is Spirit filled and not afraid to preach the truth. Pastor Matt is not afraid to preach the truth. Since COVID-19 I have been attending via electronically and have found the services/messages just as powerful as if I was attending in person. I have felt the Lord’s presence and mighty move of God in my life since I started attending. What a beautiful, loving church. You will not be disappointed if you are truly seeking God and a body of people who love the Lord. You will find them friendly and loving. I highly recommend Life City Church and have told as many as I can about them. Due to COVID I haven’t had as much contact with those I know but plan to spread the news as much as possible. My family has been apart of Life City for nearly 6 years. We knew right away this church was our home. Pastor Matt and Bryn Rice are true examples of Gods love and such great leaders to have in our lives. Life City is a place to experience God while building long lasting friendships and relationships. The environment is welcoming and services bring a safe place to experience God. We love love this church and would recommend to everyone !
