Love this church so much. Amazing sermons and amazing people. All of the sermons leave me feeling convicted which is what every church should be doing. Get here early for parking! I’ve been going to FBC since kindergarten no, since I was a daycare kid, and now I’m a sophomore and every single person I’ve talked to are genuinely the kindest people I’ve met, I just want to give a public thank you to all of our teachers and pastors for being welcoming and kind to everyone. I have no idea what the day to day body life of this church looks like. Whether it’s a place of healing and grace or legalism and rules, I know nothing of. I can only leave my first impressions. Obviously it’s a church of means with a beautiful building. But there was more. The music……. how lovely to hear modern worship music so well done AND with theologically sound words. The musician and worshipper in me was blessed. I’m always thrilled to see drums and praise teams that aren’t on the cutting edge of 1992. And I appreciate a safe space to raise my hands in worship if the Holy Spirit so leads. The teaching….. a very sweet blend of well prepared exposition of the text along with excellent sound doctrine and theology. And with the beautiful encouragement of a very personal and thriving relationship with Jesus woven in. I appreciated Pastor Jay teaching that a relationship with God is not just intellectual, but experiential. It was more than just stuffy intellectualism and knowledge. There was exhortation and inspiration to genuinely know Jesus because He is worth knowing. So thank you for a great visit to a traveler who was looking to worship while away from home. I’ll see you all in heaven someday! Just started going to Edmond faith Bible church. Situated on the East side of Coltrane it is a large church that started small and has been built on to. The pastor really digs into the scripture and delivers an amazing service. If you have a teenage daughter wanting to join the youth group program, I strongly suggest going somewhere else. The youth leaders will mainly pay attention to the kids who have grown up in Faith Bible and the kids in the groups won’t expand their groups or reach out to new people/ people who are alone. The leaders and kids in the youth program will ignore you until you tell them you’re struggling to find a reason to live. This has happened to multiple people in this program. The worship leader had a conversation with the high school and middle school girls about “being modest” but they told us that we couldn’t wear skirts/ shorts and we couldn’t wear tank top, so instead of tell the boys to keep it in their pants they told the girls what to wear in 90 degree weather in summer in Oklahoma. A church it isn’t a a building! It’s the people! This church doesn’t show that they care for new followers of Christ or new people of the church.
