Came to Athey for the first time on 8/2/2026 to the 12pm service. Definitely a church I will come to again! Pros: - Pastor Brett is thorough in explaining the Word of God by breaking down the bible verses and presenting it in a way that is tangible, relatable, easy, yet descriptive and true to the meaning. - Amazing views and design internal and external - There's a section for family's with noisy children to watch away from the main auditorium. - The store has bibles, notebooks, merch, christian books. Absolutely love it! - Free coffee - Relating to other reviews, if youre disruptive to the service, someone from the church will come to you and either move you to the family section and address to see if youre okay. For someone who is easily bothered by uncessary noises (adolescent noises, speaking during the message, eating/wrapper noises) this was a huge plus! -Plethora of volunteers, love to see it - Music was great. Band and singers sounded amazing. Sang modern songs. No hymns. Cons: - Parking can be a maze coming in and leaving. Staying past the crowd leaving and arriving early can help with this. - Limited bathrooms: I believe there's or 8 stalls in the women's bathroom. There was a line to go in after service ended. - Amazing to see people packing up the auditorium but can be a little stressful. (They are opening a new campus on September 13th right down the street!!) - May have to walk on tough terrain to get into the church (gravel, hills, grass) Suggestions: a map/directory would be nice because its a big church! Overall this is a great church to go to!! This is the same church that did PDX Crusade! Saturday – 4 PM & 6 PM (Beginning Sept. 12, service times will change to 5 PM) Sunday – 6 AM (Online Only) Sunday – 8 AM, 10 AM, & 12 PM Sunday Night Worship – 2nd & 4th Sunday of each month at 6 PM Every Wednesday: Night Bible Study – 7 PM Prophecy Update – 1st Fridays at 7 PM Great Bible based church. I truly believe they are Holy Spirit led. Sure it's a huge church, but their team shows love and true fellowship without allowing entitlement of any person to be above an other. True Bible base. Not just the New Testament. We've gone to many churiches and Athey is the real thing. Pastor Brett teaches people to know and have a real relationship with God the Father, God the Son, Jesus and God the Holy Spirit. He's not afraid to preach boldly as God wants us to understand and "Know" Him (God). No pretty words that bends the true Word of God to make people feel good about themselves and allow them to be comfortable in their own sins. Book by book, chapter by chapter, verse by verse. No pandering to personal entitlement focused individuals. This review is simply to say: 1) keeping children out of the service is appreciated. 2) the Parking lot crew is amazing, shepherding so many cars in and out efficiently at the change of each service. 3) go ahead and wear shorts, Pastor Brett - I am going to! 4) keep making it about the main thing and the main thing is Jesus as told in Gods word, the Holy Bible. We had a wonderful experience at this church. Everyone was so welcoming and kind. The children’s ministry is excellent—our child felt safe, had a great time, and looked forward to coming back. The teachers truly care about the kids and create a fun, loving, and faith-filled environment. We are very grateful to have found this church. Highly recommended! Truly the best church. Pastor Brett and the worship team are so genuine and authentic. I moved away from the PNW in 2022 and still find myself live streaming the services here in Gainesville, Florida.
