Welcome - First Baptist Church. Enjoyed todays service. A nice blend of song and scripture. Our teen said she liked the service because of that as well. She tends to fidget :). A message of love illustrated by Mary who washed Jesus feet with nard was impactful. In addition the church has a organ which produced wonderful tunes, stained glass pictorials, tapestry, engraved pew caps, and more. After the service a light meal was offered in the next room. Where you can also find out more about the church and its history. Easter service will be held. First Baptist also gives to communities both locally and abroad with its mission outreach team. Come join us. The pastor provides solid teaching and we have both the traditional organ hymns and a full contemporary band each week. I watched 3 miles all the way across Portland to go to Library because I heard they had gas vouchers. I’m stranded from Washington going to California and the guy wouldn’t even answer. The door got no trespassing signs all over their gate. Very rude individual very cold very young like I highly recommend going to a church a real church. I want to Baptist Church and Alaska been to Baptist Church in California. This is the rudest individual I’ve ever encountered apathetic. Christ would cry man fact you made God cry. Good acoustics, very tidy restrooms. The balcony seat cushions are great for looks and short stays but an hour is a bit tedious on the bum. You'll be sitting on foam covered pews from who knows how long ago. Sitting on the wood might be a cleaner option to consider. Beautiful interior, nice sense of community and a sermon that was very lively. I'm not typically one to mention spirituality, but this place had a great vibe to it and was spiritually inspiring.
