Beautiful place, very detailed crafted, an amazing art workmanship! Been here for a few weddings, and was amazed how every chair, every beam, every pillar, every edge is sculpted with an artistic detail. Welcoming, inclusive full communion mainline protestantism ;) and nice snacKing after. Focused on Love, service, informed by tradition(al) structure plus amazing vintage woodwork sanctuARy. Very welcoming congregation, beautiful sanctuary and music, and engaging Word of God in transitional times. All are welcome and encouraged to attend, either in-person or online. Definitely not going back there. Security guard instantly treated me with suspicion when I walked in and asked to search my bag. He then treated me with more suspicion when I asked to use the restroom. Then during the sermon all they talked about was personal anecdotes and contributing money to the church. They literally did not talk about scripture at all or give a sermon that integrated scripture into how we live our lives. They brought up money at least four times during the sermon. A lot of fluff and rituals, no substance. Just a cult in a beautiful building, that's it. It was back in the early 2000s that I met Dr. Dudley Weaver. He was the Pastor at that time. What a Wonderful Father Figure he was. We spent so much time together online when yahoo was around. I loved just spending time alone online in the chat rooms with our Cams on. He spent so much time developing the underground Parking Garage and I remember the day it was dedicated he came home that afternoon and got online with me and he was so devastated to the point he was almost in tears because he felt he didn’t get the recognition he deserved. I wanted to just hug him and hold him, it made me so sad. He left and went to St Augustine in Florida. Y’all really lost a Great Person in Dudley. If things had only been different in our lives. I really Wished they had been. I loved him so much.
