Pearl Church is an inclusive, affirming church that truly represents what Jesus taught- to fight for the most marginalized, to feed the hungry, to welcome the stranger and to live radically! As a member of the church for almost a decade I truly love how everyone (especially children) are taught that the Divine’s love is with you always! You don’t have to do anything or recruit anyone, the Divine loves every part of you just as it is! As a LGBT+ POC, I didn't feel welcome. They were nice enough, but it didn't feel inclusive as a new person. I really tried to meet and talk to people at several events. I mean the pastor didn't even greet me. 🤷♂️ Very inclusive and loving. This has been a wonderful, safe, and affirming community to be a part of. I've been attending nearly 10 years and it's always been home. For those seeking a community after evangelicalism, this just might be the place for you. Wonderful welcoming church community.
