What visitors say

Beautiful church was built in 1855, renovated in 1898. In 1902 was under fire, rebuilt in the year 1906. This cathedral is U S. National Register of Historic Places. Beautiful and kind-hearted people. As welcoming as I remember it being, fifteen years ago when I last visited, just as a church should be. I was delighted to see old friends there. Worship at Philadelphia Cathedral is open in style, and with a freer form than you would find in any other Cathedral I know of. There is lots of moving around the space during the service. Emphasis is placed on the equal status of everyone around the table, and on the fact that ministers, including the musical leaders, arise from among the people, not being separated from them by sitting in a different place. There is also fellowship after Sunday Eucharist in the form of coffee served in the Cathedral itself. Amazing, beautiful, acoustics is next to none. A beautiful edifice inside. Some paid street parking We loved the show. They had a very nice reception after. They could use better signs though. Kept yelling at us to redirect us.
