What visitors say
Pastor John and his wife are the sweetest Christians. They are kind and very thoughtful. Bethesda is also associated with them. Tuesday's are karaoke days. Pick a song and show out! This church compliments the square well. The windows are amazing. This historically significant church is definitely worth a visit. Tours are available. Check the website. The stain glass windows are spectacular. The Christmas carol, "O Little Town of Bethlehem," was composed here by a former pastor. You can see the score in the office in the rear. Love this church! A beautiful, historic building with great stories: Phillips Brooks, an early rector, wrote "O Little Town of Bethlehem," and also preached the sermon when President Lincoln's funeral train came to Philadelphia. Today, the church is known for its welcoming community, great music and good works. Google Open Hearts Cafe as an example. Great people. Vagabonds take over all the staircases at the end of the night. Local Caucasians feed them. And they return
