Another one of Pittsburgh's beautiful churches. I was in the area and happened to walk by. The architecture is stunning, and with the gardens full of flowers, and the trees, it is a tranquil spot to visit. There is even a conveniently located park bench where one can sit and take in the beautiful surroundings. Next time I visit, I will have to go inside. This has been my home church since I moved here 10 years ago. Consistently friendly, scriptural, and filled with the Holy Spirit. It’s a beautiful church with a special emphasis on welcoming immigrants, international students, special needs, artists, and families. I have been part of the church of several years. I really love the community here. People are very Godly and friendly. I love here! It's a place where you can feel as if you were at home. I never thought it could be so solemn and cozy inside. We heard about this church from a wonderful woman. Here you will find support, help, understanding. This is especially important for new immigrants. I am grateful to the church staff, volunteers and helpers. Thank you so much for organizing church events and for your kindness and support! You are doing a great job for the good of the community. It is invaluable. Here we have found friends and like-minded people, here we practice English and learn new things. I loved John Harvey review. Yes it was lovely to sit outside on a bench (especially for us apartment dwellers) and be surrounded by trees, grass and flowers. Also the church was so beautiful to look at. I can only wonder who your architect is to create such a modernist tragedy to such a beautiful church. The whole addition hurts my heart and sure that others feel the same way. You don't have to sit inside the church to commune with Gods beauty but it is outside where best done. And now that is gone (along with the lovely lilac bushes). So sad.
