What visitors say
Visiting PIT from the south and needed a quick church to visit. Ended up visiting this First Baptist Church. The Church was very beautiful; the building and most importantly the people. Every single person here was very welcoming and joyful! Didn’t feel like an outcast here at all. Their worship during this service was jazz-like and was very unique and awesome. The pastor brought a good message. Would definitely revisit next time! Very pretty church with nice architecture. The congregation was friendly and welcoming, offering coffee and breakfast foods. Beautiful church wonderful acoustics, amazing people to connect The English Gothic building on the corner for Bayard and Bellefield Streets has been home to the First Baptist Church of Pittsburgh for 100+ yeas (1912) of its 200+ year history (1812). Each stone and window helps to tell the Christian message (books are available). While the story of God's love is old, the congregation strives to find new ways of expression.A House of Prayer for All Peoples. Very very nice, loving people and they have a wonderful choir! There are not a lot of members in the congregation and this needs to change! Especially being on Pitts campus with CMU and Carlow so close, there should be more members
