What visitors say

Oldest Catholic church in Pittsburgh (1808) and a beautiful outdoor garden for reflection and prayer. Little slice of heaven in a busy crowded city. Worth a visit! This is Pittsburgh’s oldest church. It is a calm, quiet, and peaceful oasis amidst the hustle and bustle of the Strip District and nearby uptown Pittsburgh. It is positively beautiful at Christmastime and deserves a visit. Do NOT use the main stairs as visitors are to ascend them on their knees while praying the rosary. Instead, use the stairs on either side of the entrance to make your way to the main chapel. This is a small church, but it’s humble appearance belies its spiritual power. If you’re visiting The Strip, it’s worth dropping in to see Pittsburgh’s oldest Church, their beautiful guardians, and the sacred stairs. Went there for mass at around noon. It's a nice church with a lot of history. A very lovely and serene house of love and worship. The courtyard is a magical little place to sit and reflect. The holy stairs are very interesting to see.
