Check this place out if you are looking for a good church to be a part of. This church has 2 different services, traditional and contemporary. There are so many kids of all ages involved and many friendly people. They also have various groups tp be a part of, such as a grief group for those of us who lost someone close to us etc. Today we heard about the mission trip to India. This church has a fantastic mix of people and do many different nationalities all there to worship the same Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I just started going here myself and am enjoying what I hear and see so far. Don Spooner was amazing to speak with an absolute delight. He got right back to me addressing an issue. He also introduced me to all of the churches ministries. He was very informative and kind. Great guy to have at this church. Well diverse and knowledgeable a 5star). Hmmmm....1st time to attend a service here. Beautiful church, good band, excellent sermon. In fact, I'd go back to hear the sermons, but probably take soft earplugs to reduce the volume of the music. I couldn't hear myself singing, let alone anyone else except for a brief moment when the band pulled back. Great song selection! Two people briefly said "hello", but that was it. I went in feeling a bit lonely and left feeling even more lonely but am imagining size has something to do with that. So will I go back? Not sure. I can watch church online and feel the same amount of connection. It is very well attended. I would imagine that getting involved in activities and groups would make the experience more meaningful. I experienced spiritual abuse at the hands of the head pastor when he became antagonistic, domineering, and coercive with me. I addressed my concerns to the elder board. The elders did find the head pastor was antagonistic, but they intentionally overlooked the head pastor's most egregious actions. I expressed my concern that the elders did not address the pastor being aggressive and coercive with me. The elder assigned to my concern intentionally ignored this issue and proceeded to use my words against me when I objected. Their final letter to me downplayed the head pastor's actions as having made "inappropriate statements" while they then went on to exaggerate their concerns with me. It frankly felt like DARVO. I also requested a partial refund of my tithe -- that request went unanswered. I am still recovering from the spiritual abuse and trauma. I am undergoing counseling at my own expense. I am also aware of other people who have been abused by the pastor. There are many members of the congregation who have been a blessing, but the abuse was damaging enough that I left this church. Since then, an elder attempted to find out how I am from a third party. Rather than try to resolve the issue that broke fellowship, he went behind my back to try and obtain information about me. He also approached me at an event where we were both in attendance. His behavior was unwelcome and unappreciated in both instances. This crazy large church needs a map to explain the many buildings, twists, and turns. It's filled with nice people ready to serve and help and I met one of the pastors because I was lost trying to locate a class. What hospitable people. Good impressions !
