In my 18 years attending here, I’ve found this church to be a safe place to be broken and to heal. If you look at our welcoming statement, “Christ United Methodist Church welcomes and values everyone, no exceptions. We strive to show the hospitality of Jesus Christ to persons of all ages, genders, races, sexual orientations, economic situations, and abilities. Believing that life is better together, we invite you to share your God-given gifts in this community of faith to spread God's love in our world.” We truly welcome everyone! The most loving and accepting of any congregation I’ve ever been a part of!!! ALL of us are WELCOME!!! I moved to the area about a year ago. I visited CUMC and decided to call it my church home. I haven't officially joined the church but I support it and enjoy the family atmosphere. My children are young adults and live in other areas of the US, so it is refreshing to see families of all ages together at this church. CUMC is casual, so come as you are. Our family has found a home here. It's all about relationships and healing God's hurting world. Wonderful youth programs, great small group study and fellowship. Great place for worship, study, prayer, and outreach witness in a friendly open welcoming community of faith.
