What visitors say

Gospel Movement Church embodies everything the local church should. It centers around teaching God’s Word and equipping the congregation to go out into the world and disciple fellow believers to become more like Christ. I’ve never been at a place that is more welcoming than this one. From the moment you walk in until you leave you will receive love and hospitality like you’ve never experienced. I can’t recommend a church more to anyone looking for a new church home. This church is truly something special. It is filled with people who love Jesus deeply and genuinely desire to make Him known. Since I began attending in 2022, I have watched it grow and continue shaping itself to reflect the body of Christ more faithfully. Through hardship and loss, this congregation has drawn closer together, becoming stronger and more steadfast in faith through it all. I am proud to call GMC my home. P.S. No church is perfect. For example, they only serve iced coffee in the spring and summer, which feels like a an error on leadership’s part but not quite heretical. And while I am not entirely convinced the bass player is fully locked in at all times, the band sounds incredible overall, so he gets a pass. I attended Gospel Movement Church (formerly The Movement Chruch) twice with my daughter and her fiancé. As a senior citizen and lifelong Christian, I have attended many churches over the years and came with sincere hope of finding a welcoming place of worship. The service began with singing and a reading, which was familiar and appropriate. However, shortly afterward, there was a slideshow displaying Bible verses and statements about giving. The way these messages were presented made me feel like financial giving was being emphasized as a central focus. The quotes emphasized that your money is not truly your own, but belongs to Jesus, including statements to the effect of “your money is His.” This experience was similar both times I attended. Seeing these messages presented so prominently, and in this way, felt morally wrong to me. It left me feeling deeply uncomfortable and unsettled rather than spiritually supported. In my experience, church should emphasize prayer, humility, and spiritual reflection above all else. The emphasis on money did not align with the faith and values I have followed throughout my life. Because of these experiences, I chose not to return. I am so thankful to be part of Gospel Movement Church. I’ve never belonged to a more loving, God-fearing, Biblically wise, and Jesus centered church body in my life. Pastor Daniel has a servant’s heart, always ready to help any member in our congregation and community. He also serves at the Hendersonville Samaritan Center. This is a church that is active and is growing God’s Kingdom. Child care, youth and kids ministry is fantastic! You know that as soon as you walk in the doors, you are greeted and treated as family! I could not recommend Gospel Movement Church enough! I’ve been attending Gospel Movement Church for six years now and I’m still blown away. I think the best word I could use to describe it is refreshing. I can let my guard down in every way. The teaching is doctrinally sound and nourishing. The community is vulnerable and warm. The shepherding is very real and felt. Not once have I felt the need to “put on a mask” and act like I’m doing better than I really am. I trust the Elders, I love the people, and I thank God for the church.
