What visitors say

The sunlight streaming through the stained glass gives the whole room such a warm, peaceful glow the moment you walk in. I was struck by how much character the old architecture has, especially with the sound of the organ filling up the high ceilings. And even though the building feels very traditional and grand, the people working there are down-to-earth and made me feel welcome right away. It’s rare to find a place that feels this quiet and historic but still has such a friendly, inviting energy. My girls age 4 and 9 enjoyed the live concert. We were able to get 2hrs of free parking in the parking garage next to the capitol a few blocks away. I can say that every Thursday I've gone to this place I've gotten good food and excellent quality clean clothes as well as other items. I remember that ESL lessons were very well structured. When I moved to Austin, as a refugee, we received English lessons in this church. I still visit the friends that I made there. Professor Tom was great. Great memories that are now 10 years old. I called the church today to ask if they still do English lessons for refugees and they still do. I have this place in my heart. I went and got lost on my way a second time. Ty Nicky .
