What visitors say
lovely church. Heavy on studying the Bible, key focus is reading and understanding scripture. Pastor Lance is highly educated, funny, and relatable. Nothing like a mega church. People are super friendly. If you want traditional worship and good Bible notes go here. We have been attending HBC for 3 yrs now. The teaching from Pastor Lance and the Bible studies Sunday morning are exceptional. These are Godly men who prepare before presenting God's word. We have learned and have grown in the knowledge of our Lord. Thank you HBC staff. All staff is genuine, humble, and loving 🌟 . Come see for yourself! I live in Sun City, CA and am blessed to be able to access Harvest Bible Church on my phone. Bible teaching from a Dispensational perspective is absolutely soul-searching, filled with hope and anticipation, and imparts true joy in coming to personally know and enjoy our relationship with Jesus Christ!!! My wife and I are huge fans of John MacArthur and his approach to 'verse by verse' expository preaching. After looking into a number of churches, I thought I would never find a church or a pastor who would model the style and truth exemplified by Grace Community Church / Grace to You (John MacArthur's Church in Sun Valley, CA). Pastor Lance Waldie does an outstanding job of teaching the details and meanings behind every verse. We both enjoy the services so much, we are both very happy to attend the Wednesday Night Bible Studies which are quite lively with questions and answers the entire time. We also like their approach to the Sunday service. The music consists of traditional hymns that are sung in a way that help you to focus on worship, instead of feeling like you are watching an American Idol performance. Also, each service ends humbly in prayer with no dim lights, no altar calls, and no offering baskets are passed around for donations. This is a church of believers for believers. If you want to hear the truth, based on 100% focus on the Holy Scripture and nothing else, or "The Gospel according to Jesus," in 100% truth, this is your place. This church will ensure you and your family travel the difficult path towards the narrow gate to an eternity with Christ. Congratulations to Pastor Waldie (and his supporting cast, including his wife Cheryl), for creating a true church for Jesus followers (true believers) that is 100% grounded in the Holy Bible. If you want to deepen your knowledge of Christ and the Bible, this is the church for you. May God Bless this church with every advancing step. BRAVO! We heard about Harvest Bible Church from some friends. We listened to some of the past sermons by Dr. Lance Waldie, then decided to visit in person in June of 2020. We loved the church and their focus on true historical Christianity and adherence to sound doctrine. We joined in August of 2020 and have been welcomed warmly into the flock. We attend the Wednesday night Bible study, adult Sunday School class and joined a small shepherd group. I attend the Women's Bible Study and my husband has been enjoying the Men's Bible Study since January 2021.
