What visitors say
One of the best churches I have ever been to, by far. The members of this church are incredibly welcoming, and the love in this place is felt the moment you walk in. Bishop Mikel Brown goes above and beyond to make sure the Word is understood in a way that truly reaches every heart. I was baptized through this church and dedicated my child here, and since becoming a member, my faith has not only been renewed. It has grown stronger than ever. The worship at the Border event shifted my mentality in both my career and my walk with God. It helped me level up spiritually and mentally in ways I didn’t even know I needed. The Christian Joy Center has given my family a new, stronger foundation rooted in faith, peace, and purpose. Miss Alma is amazing at guiding you to every resource the church offers and making sure you feel supported and connected. If I could give ten stars, I would. This church has changed my life for the better. Thank you God for all the work the members and Bishop have put in to make this a reality for our community. Red flag after red flag. It started the day before when the Holy Spirit whispered “no” to me. My wife had been to a seperate event that she liked and wanted to check out Sunday service so She needed peace of mind about it. 1st a swat looking officer searched my wife and I before we made it into the building, Never in over 40 years of assembling has this happened or have I seen it. Then the first greeter like a robot tried to direct us like cattle to fill out a business card, I said no maybe later, but somehow we still got funneled to a lady at table to fill out a “business card” is what they called it all the while trying to talk to us about getting the children in children’s church and nursery. We like to take our 4 and 2 year olds into worship when we visit a new church before just pushing them into childcare. We get in the sanctuary and a sister immediately escorts us to the back row because of our children and says we have to sit there, no freedom . I take my sons to the stage to check out their music setup and I’m praying and some guy makes me feel uncomfortable again titling himself elder so and so and making sure I know his title. Bruh. The message was all about increase. My 2 year was bored and very active so I took him out. We were immediately stopped and told no one is allowed in the foyer with the nice leather seats, or maybe it was because of my son, not sure. Either way that shuffled us to their “ overflow “ room which is just a kitchen with hard metal chairs with a tv playing the sermon with like one scripture . Terrible experience. At the end we were back in the sanctuary and the security guarded the bishop and escorted him out like a rockstar after his ending prayer. Just felt so prideful, and zero freedom unless you were the dancing guy at the alter showing the whole church your blue underwear and immodest outfit. there were more red flags like how they introduced the bishop as “ the angel of our church”…. I’ve never experienced so many errors and gut check feels I don’t think in all my years of assembling and ministry. This church needs series brokenness , freedom, deliverance humbling. YHWH help them Incredible Mind Love is what I can say when I went. When you set foot inside the campus you will have a full dose of fresh awakening. You have to check it out and you can feel the Positive Energy all around you. I wanted to like it because it was recommended but it’s not for me or my small kids. They search my diaper bag, ok fine, but me taking my baby to service seemed like an inconvenience and so they sit me in the back. There’s “guards” with bullet proof vests and handguns, it feels over the top and in my opinion they don’t have their priorities straight, God protects and the church is there to praise God and be a community. If I breast feed I have to go to a separate room which is dark and I have all to myself so that’s ok but I have to ask every time to unlock it. But then my 2 year old wanted to eat a snack. You can’t eat or drink at service except for water so somehow I ended up in the kitchen which was freezing for my then 5 month old and 2 year old in a hard chair. My 4 and 6 year old enjoyed their own class but that was that. Everyone was very nice upon arrival but as the service started there was so much talk about finances, then the pastor actually said he does not really evangelize anymore that people are going to do what they are going to do🤔 The scripture they read must be different than the version of the Bible I read cause I thought souls are what we are supposed to be winning for the kingdom and not to worship money? It’s as close to Joel Olstein as you can get
