Unfortunately I did not have a great experience at this church. I was drawn to it because it was smaller than a lot of the megachurches in the area. I was new to Texas and wasn't used to every church being so big (I'm from Ohio). I did like the sermons I attended, and because I filled out a form online, I was gifted a Bible and sticker. The people working at the table were very nice. However, after a month or so of attending, I signed up to help decorate the church for Christmas. I thought this was a lovely idea for an event and would be an easy way to meet people. Well, not a single person acknowledged me during the event. Usually in smaller churches, people will notice that I am new and come to me to introduce themselves. I am not an outgoing person by nature, so I always appreciate this and it helps me to open up. I really tried to be approachable (i.e. not on my phone, trying to help), but everyone seemed closed off. Initially, I sat down with a group of girls my age (young adult), including a singer on the worship team, and they acted as if I were invisible, even after smiling and initiating conversation. It was very odd and made me feel unwelcome. Overall, 7 City wasn't a great fit for me. I don't write this review to be mean but to share my honest experience with others. Thankfully I have since found a church community closer to home with people I have bonded with. I have tried reaching out to this church in person, over the phone and no one picks up. Very unresponsive. Which is shocking to me with how great they seem on their website. A great community of followers of Jesus and disciples. Pastor Steven provides a powerful message each week. The Church is come as you are and welcomes everyone. Highly recommend. Community driven and involvement. Visiting Fort Worth for the weekend and wanted to attend church. What a blessing to stumble upon this welcoming, congregation!! Convenient parking across the street, escorted across a busy street and greeted at the door. Had the opportunity to witness two baptisms and 8 children be dedicated. You could feel the Spirit moving in this place and in these people! Pastor Steven delivered a message that really hit home. If you’re not liking the story being written, change your path. Awesome, contemporary worship music. Beautiful vocals and accompaniment by keyboard, drums and bass. God had a plan for me on this random Sunday. I’m grateful He directed me to 7C! If I ever am back in the area, I will definitely be returning. 7C, keep up the amazing work!!! My wife and I have been attending 7 City Church a little over a year now. We were at our previous church for 30 years, so we were not looking forward to searching for a new home church. God was so good to us and led us to 7 City, first church we visited, and we never stopped coming back! The preaching is Biblical and very applicable to life today, the church's heart for Ft. Worth is seen everywhere, and we love that our missions focus is local, national, and global. Community groups and opportunities to serve helped us meet so many new friends and we are truly thankful for 7 City Church.
