Saw this amazing church, on sunday before going to a México vs England World Cup Match, downtown Fort Worth Texas and how I love the history of displace, especially this place holds a lot of history, not just around fort worth, texas, but around US history as well. I wish I could go inside and see what's inside this church, but it was closed. Amazing architecture church. I flew to Texas from Warsaw, Poland for a few days. It was a great experience for me to participate in the Sunday mass in this beautiful church. wonderful people, wonderful energy. I left this church filled with new strength and I will think from every place on earth to this church. Thank you very much. I am sending greetings to the two wonderful ladies with whom I had the opportunity to talk to after the mass. I've never left a Google review of a church before, but today, a lady I assume to be homeless quietly slipped into the back early into the service and sat alone at the end of an empty pew. She wasn't bothering anyone, but they called the police to escort her off the property. After the service, people were talking about her and I asked if they knew why the police were called. I was told she smelled bad. I said "apparently the table of Christ isn't big enough for people who smell bad. Got it." At this church, they talk a lot about the table being open to all (I fully agree), and today's sermon (really good btw) highlighted the way we dehumanize others, but after what I'd just seen, I've concluded it's all just talk. I shouldn't be surprised, but after decades seeing churches openly close "the table" off, I am disappointed to see this church is no different. I'm a member of First. We're the oldest congregation in town. The church was built in 1914. It's a beautiful building. Beautiful historic church in downtown Fort Worth. Beautiful music, stunning pipe organ, great congregation!
