What visitors say

Light of the World Church is exactly what I’ve been looking for in a church. The teaching is deeply rooted in the Bible—clear, straightforward, and always centered on truth rather than trends. Every message points you back to Scripture and challenges you to grow in your faith in a real, practical way. Pastor Greg does a great job of teaching in a way that’s both understandable and impactful. You can tell his focus is on staying faithful to God’s Word, not just delivering a feel-good message. On top of that, the atmosphere is genuinely welcoming. From the moment you walk in, people make you feel comfortable and included—like you belong there, no matter where you’re coming from. If you’re looking for a church that’s Bible-based, authentic, and filled with kind, welcoming people, Light of the World Church is a great place to be I cannot say enough amazing things about Light of the World! I’ve had the absolute privilege of two of my children attending, and I am BEYOND grateful for this place. From the moment you walk in, you feel the intentionality and care. Safety is clearly a top priority, which gives me such peace as a parent. But what truly sets them apart is the way they genuinely love and invest in each child. They don’t just “watch” your kids — they nurture them, pour into them, and partner with you in their growth. My children are not only learning letters, numbers, colors, shapes, and so much more — they are learning about the Bible and the Fruit of the Spirit in a way that is woven into their everyday experiences. They are being shaped academically and spiritually at the same time, and that is priceless. Light of the World is a blessing to our family, and I truly cannot recommend this school enough. 💛 Would very much caution sending your children to this church’s affiliated preschool program - they put my family through extreme anxiety and totally mishandled a situation with my 2 year old son with no remorse or actions to make it right. They insinuated my son had a severe behavior disorder and suggested on multiple occasions that I go get him tested - which is wildly inappropriate, especially at his young age. They will avoid, deflect and never take responsibility. The expectations they have for a young toddler who was having his first experience in “school” were completely outrageous. Instead of trying to help they were more interested in blaming him as the problem and getting him to leave the program. To make matters worse, when we reached out to the head pastor of this church, he has totally IGNORED our attempt at communication. Shameful and disgusting behavior from a Christian organization. UPDATE After speaking privately with you Greg, in which you were dismissive and curt to me and my husband, I think it would be amiss not to take my time to update my review. I would have been ready to remove it all together, yet a genuine apology or effort to understand our side was not made. Since you chose to reply to my initial review without having heard our story at all, in an attempt to discredit me to others reading this review, I will now clarify a couple points. “Accommodations” to his schedule included switching the days he attended very early on, to a smaller class size. I also chose to pick him up early as he was not napping there. These changes are hardly burdensome and in fact were positive for everyone involved. The refunds were requested by us and not given out of the kindness of your own hearts. We would not attend an entire semester, so yes the usual non refundable supply fee was refunded to us for the remaining year, to which we are grateful. I am also grateful your director prayed for me. This occurred after she told me she believed my son needed special evaluating, and I became emotional. The majority of the problems occurred after this. I did my due diligence and had him tested over winter break, to which he came back developmentally typical, and I shared this with the staff. Yet no real meeting was requested with us, no real action plan was discussed or put into writing. After only attending several days after break, negative notes were being sent home every day and your director was informing us they did not have the resources/staffing model to support him, and that she believed he needed a specialized program. It was clear we were being pushed out. The bottom line is what happened was completely inappropriate, very confusing, and ultimately really hurtful to our family. After waiting days for a response from you and finally messaging you to tell you we look forward to hearing from you, we were ultimately dismissed again. It is also interesting to note that after I left my review, staff at your church / school (of whom I know a few personally) was asked to leave positive reviews on google so as to push mine down and cover it up. I have been coming to LOTW for many years now. I attend service, I have participated in a mission trip, and have even gotten to know Pastor Greg and others who participate with this Church well. LOTW is truly one of a kind, and I’ll tell you why. Pastor Greg does not just read from the Bible to tell a message, but rather he speaks on a message in a way that either we can relate to, or even pertains to our own lives. I truly believe God speaks through Pastor Greg with every sermon he gives. Pastor Greg also has a podcast in which he speaks more on questions and concerns he feels are needing to be addressed to help today’s society. We all know we live in a crazy world, but Pastor Greg communicates God’s words through love and truly wants what is best for not just me or you, but us all. If you have never come to a service, I highly encourage you do so for you to experience the music, love, acceptance, culture, and hear the words of who I feel is one of the best, most honest and most humble Pastors there is. Our family is Catholic, yet over the years the Catholic faith has left its own teachings and has gone woke. This church still follows scripture, the members are friendly, the choir is great, and the sermons always hit a chord within me.
