What visitors say
Wanted to explore churches in Houston. So one of the churches I selected, was Bethany Christian Church. It is a small church, originally built in 1947. Went there in the evening just to check out the stained glass artwork on the church wall which can be seen from the road. At night the stained glass artwork lit up with lights installed inside the church. In a large city like Houston, it is a breath of fresh air to step into a church like Bethany. Bethany's congregation is a welcoming and caring group that strives to make each member and visitor feel like family. Their traditional services offer beautiful music and inspirational sermons followed by a fun, family-friendly lunch every Sunday. Mr. Blanco, I am sorry to hear of your experience at BCC. Ironically, our parking lot is used extensively by those outside of our congregational members, including students, teachers and construction workers from Lamar High School; multiple community organizations; and the staffs and parents of Bethany Christian School and Bethany School of Music. Such high demand as well as the need to protect the many children, parents, and senior citizens using the church plant necessitate the presence of security. Thank you for sharing your experience with us. Sometimes we may not succeed, but we are constantly striving to more fully embody Christ's love to our neighbors. With peace, Don Tuttle, senior pastor Visiting Houston and attended Sunday services her. Reverend Tuttle gave an inspiring sermon and service. Beautiful Sactuary and facility. Very friendly congregation. Not a member, fortunately, but I can tell how they are just by the way they guard their parking lot and the rudeness of their security guard, I thought christians didn't need security, after all they have "god" to protect them, right?
