Our family loves this church! The Kids Ministry is great for our family and the Special Needs Ministry is unlike anything we've ever experienced. There is so much love at Houston's First. We appreciate the honesty in preaching and even though it's a large building, we have made deep friendships due to our Life Bible Study Class. We could not recommend this church more. Oh, and the worship is great! Great place to come and meet very kind people -worship God - bring your kids for day preschool program - visit fitness - community center - pick up coffee and Christian books - and receive care in prayers, healings for your spirit Houston’s First Baptist Church is a wonderful place to worship and grow spiritually. The atmosphere is welcoming, the people are friendly, and the messages are encouraging and Bible-based. You can really feel the passion for God and for serving the community. The church is organized, family-friendly, and offers great opportunities for people of all ages to connect and grow in faith. Definitely recommend visiting if you are looking for a church home or a place to hear the Word of God. Went specifically to the library. They have an extensive collection of books and dvds. My son is into veggie tales and we find so many movies and books here! The staff is very friendly and helpful. Shame on you HFBC. I moved from Ohio to join the church because you partner with Living Hope in DFW, a ministry that disciples those who God saved and delivered from practicing any kind of immorality. You've done nothing to help me get settled in, but have only judged me for being homeless. I'm homeless because I moved here without knowing anyone and made the erroneous assumption that you would help me, it is a church after all. You make people busy in the church, and that gives them the illusion that they can wallow in sin and still be alright with the Lord. Not true. Here's what's true: 1 Corinthians 13:2-7 ESV And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. [3] If I give away all I have, and if I deliver up my body to be burned, but have not love, I gain nothing. [4] Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant [5] or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; [6] it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. [7] Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. John 13:34-35 NASB I am giving you a new commandment, that you love one another; just as I have loved you, that you also love one another. [35] By this all people will know that you are My disciples: if you have love for one another.”
