What visitors say
I'll get straight to the point. If you're a conservative evangelical to the core, you'll be right at home. Otherwise, if your version of Christianity includes: - A balance of literal and contextual interpretation of Scripture - An openness to interfaith dialogue - Women in full leadership and clergy roles - “Open and Affirming” congregations - Couples who are welcome to baptism regardless of sexual orientation - No hidden moral codes or covert observations - No zealous, heavy-handed messaging about personal morality ...don't come here. And don't let the "welcome booth" near the entrance fool you. My wife and I first went to Life Point towards the end of last year and we were welcomed into a new church family at once. The people are wonderful and the presence of The Holy Spirit is at work there. There is an excellent program for the kids and teens as well as many groups outside of church to further your walk with God. Come as you are! Everyone is welcome!🙏🏼 I love LP and think the Growth Track experience to help people get connected at the church is G R E A T. If you're looking for a church, come join us here on Sunday!!! I just attended the Tuesday Morning Prayer and Worship Service. What a BLESSING! This was my first time visiting (we are volunteering at the State Natural Area nearby). It was still dark when i arrived, but the lot and approach to the building were very well lit. Others entering greeted me as did the official "greeters". There was coffee! As i entered i could see the entrance to a very colorful, vibrant children's area. The worship center/sanctuary was dimly lit, but i did have enough light to see my Bible. When I arrived,a musician was leading worship (sounded really nice, and attendees were participating). The Pastor/ Lay Leader delivered a very good devotion. It was short but not at all rushed and was scripture based, while relating it to exactly where I am right now. Then we were given the opportunity to pray; there were prayer cards (for if you wanted the church to pray for you), and a Prayer Guide, "Pray First" . I couldn't read it at the time, but brought it home As we prayed, there was really good prayer- focused contemporary Christian music playing. When I left, a Greeter asked if I was new (yes) and provided me with information on volunteering at the church, life groups, baptism... I had a great experience at Life Point. I do plan to visit again and will invite other folks volunteering with me. I visited today and had a pleasant experience. I have always felt out of place in large churches. You get lost in the crowd. At times it can be to my advantage because you can go in and out without anyone looking for you and I admit this is okay for me at times. Today I went and a black lady named Mary was really sweet to us. Talkative and kind. She showed us where we the main seating area was located and the restrooms. She was also friendly to my teens. Later on after service in that great sea of people, somehow Mary found us in the parking lot and asked how we enjoyed the service and invited us again. It was movie day (Wild Robot). I thought that was really nice. To find us, make sure we had a good time before she went on her way. This stood out because we had one of those white visitor bags and she was pretty much the one who came to find us. I didnt feel like just a number added you know what I mean? The message was concise, and very relatable and scripture based. Leaving the parking area was a bit hectic and I saw a sign that first time visitors could have flashed their lights for what I assumed would be easier parking. Bummer. We missed it. However it would be hard to see that sign because there were several parking attendants right in the front which blocked the signs. So we followed the directives to go right. Overall. We enjoyed the service and will visit again.
