What visitors say
After trying a few different churches in San Marcos, Awaken Church honestly ended up feeling the most like home to me. I really love the smaller atmosphere because you actually get to know people instead of just showing up and leaving. Over time, the people here genuinely started to feel like family to me. One of my favorite things about this church is how passionate they are about evangelizing and reaching people in the community. I actually found Awaken because a couple came up to me while evangelizing in Sewell Park and invited me to church. I’m really grateful they did because I probably never would’ve found this place otherwise. What stood out to me most is how genuine and caring everyone feels. It never felt fake, forced, or cliquey to me, which was something I worried about when trying new churches. If you’re looking for a church where people truly care about each other and make you feel welcomed, I would definitely recommend Awaken. I absolutely love serving and worshiping at this church. The community is filled with people who are sincerely devoted to Jesus and who will walk with you, disciple you, and encourage you to live in the fullness of God. Serving here has strengthened my relationship with Him, and I’m so thankful to be part of this church family. If you're looking for a church home, this is the place :) God is moving through this place to reach the community. Our pastors believe in equipping the saints to BE the church, not just show up to the building. Real people reaching out to other real people with the message of hope in Christ Jesus. Come check it out, 9 or 11 am on Sundays. We meet here, but we serve where God sends. A place where you will feel the spirit of God… Were do we start
