Today I took my children to the Easter event because one of the church members invited us. I appreciate everyone's hospitality, although I ended up feeling a bit disappointed. I have an 8-year-old daughter who was very excited to get her face painted; she stood in line for about an hour and was the second-to-last person in the queue. When her turn finally arrived, she was passed over, and the person behind her—who was accompanied by an adult—was served instead. In the end, they refused to do anything for her; she only wanted a little bunny nose and some whiskers painted on her face. She left feeling very sad and in tears... At the very least, they should have told her beforehand that they wouldn't be able to do it. It didn't seem fair to me that they ignored her in that manner; she is just a child. She missed out on the opportunity to participate in all the other activities because she spent all that time standing there, only to be cast aside at the end so that other people could be served. This is a great church! The people are wonderful and loving. Very LGBTQ friendly my wife and I feel Affirmed and welcomed with open arms We have our school graduation ceremony here in the forum building and have for the past few years. The facilities are excellent and everyone working here is an absolute joy to be around. I used to stress about graduation until we started coming here. This place is so awesome I don’t feel any stress. This church family changed my life. I was Baptized here last week at the age of 46, in fact, and I cannot imagine anywhere else I'd have wanted that moment with God to occur. They LOVE EVERYONE. They don't just say they do, THEY DO. Everyone, from every walk of life, is not only welcomed... but truly loved for who they are. Reverends Bruce, Paula, and Mariah are a Dream Team. I could write hundreds of more words about this church family, but you'd get bored and stop reading. LOL. Trust me, if you need to find a place to truly nurture your relationship with God... or even help you find one in the first place... this is it. I didn't trust anyone when I arrived, and wasn't sure where I was with my faith. After the first visit, my family knew it was where we needed to be. Within a month, I couldn't imagine being anywhere else. God blessed our family by sending us here. My wife and I have been members for over 30 years. First with Glenn Wilkerson as pastor and now with Bruce Frogge. Both are excellent ministers and men of God. We also have a caring group of lay ministers and others who strive to show the love of Christ and God the Father. The people who make up this church family are some of the most caring; compassionate and loving people I have ever met and mean the world to me and my family.
