What visitors say

Happy Easter everyone. We found ourselves visiting Church Project church in The Woodlands for the very first time. It's never an easy thing reviewing a church. Everybody is searching for something and where your spirit is will determine how you feel about a church service when you're there. Let me begin by saying The Church Project church is a big church. Looks like over a thousand to two thousand people on a given Sunday. Plenty of room and parking. Classes for just about all ages under Pre-K. There's a coffee shop there also that will rival any Starbucks. The music was good and uplifting if not loud. The preaching on this day was about the resurrection of Christ with not a lot of substance and that may have been due to them cutting the message short because of the serving of communion (bread & wine). Biblical traditions of the church. I was hoping to hear more meat and potatoes in the message. I'm sure next week will be better. All in all a church with many ministries to offer and no shortage of people who will open their homes to the many church houses they offer. Large churches are not for everybody so allow your spirit to guide you to where you're most comfortable. If you're looking for a church home as I am, this is a good place to begin. God's blessings to one and all 🙏 Love this church and the pastor. Jason does an amazing job about speaking directly from the Bible and specifically what the Bible says without adding to it. Making it very clear that its not the gospel plus anything but strictly the gospel. He explains scripture in an easy to understand manner and makes it feel as if you are being spoken to and not spoken at! I moved to Texas a little over a year ago and struggled to find a church that truly felt like home. That changed a few months ago when I attended CP for the first time with my boyfriend. I knew almost immediately I had found the right place for me. A big part of that is Lead Pastor Jason. His teaching is grounded in Scripture, yet consistently practical and applicable to everyday life. What I appreciate most is how authentically he communicates. There’s a sincerity and calm confidence in the way he preaches that stands in stark contrast to the polished, high-production “megachurch” feel I experienced elsewhere. Instead of forced intensity or performance, his messages feel genuine, thoughtful, and rooted in truth, which makes them resonate on a much deeper level. That authenticity, combined with the biblical foundation of his sermons, is what made CP finally feel like home. Great Bible believing, Christ following church! They are a church of house churches. Warm and welcoming with a solid lead pastor and hardworking, friendly staff/volunteers. Amazing nursery and children’s area to take your kids during service. Good City Coffee Shop inside with a lively atmosphere. Highly recommend visiting if you’re looking for a church home! It's a decent church, they are true to the Bible most of the time. They have pretty good home groups that you can get involved with but I think the church lacks in good leadership. My spouse and I had an individual that we were trying help, they fell on bad times and we were trying to get that person back to church. We brought it up to our home group and nobody really wanted to help. We were basically left to carry the load ourselves. When we brought it up to the leaders in the church they said there was nothing they could do the home groups take care of that. This person ended up leaving the church. Pretty disappointing but my spouse and I are still attending church project for now, we have friends there and we do like the church overall.
