Unfortunately, if you were not invited by anyone and just decided to visit this church on a whim, no one will say hi to you… I was honestly really bummed that people just looked at us and kind of half heatedly smiled… but out of the entire congregation only two people walked up to us, one being the pastor. Just seems like a ton of people obsessed with coffee and their social circles. Always enjoy service at Resurrection Church. Friendly people, coffee tea and water refreshments. We had a members meeting my last visit, and also enjoyed a potluck style lunch. Beautiful building, such an amazing location. Awesome church ! Great teachings, verse by verse, how it should be. And great people there. They encourage to be a part of the church and serve as we should do in the body of Christ. Unity among believers in Christ. If your looking for that type of Church this one is for you then. Church leadership hasn’t changed since it used to be Mars Hill Tacoma and the playbook of abuse remains the same. Our family began to shun and slander us in 2015. We tried to go through a reconciliation process that was recommended BY RESURRECTION CHURCH. Our family simply refused over and over again, yet they were never held to any kind of discipline, even though the husband was leading a bible study at the time, and they still continued to slander and shun us. Eventually Resurrection essentially laid blame fully on us, called us liars and began to shun us themselves. I believe this is because the we criticized them for their failures to us and they didn’ like hearing the truth about themselves. The facts always remained clear, we sought out the church’s help when our family shunned us and specifically tried to keep it secret within the family. We willingly sought and paid (a lot) reconciliation counseling and with 3rd party conciliators. Our family specifically refused multiple times over the course of a year and Resurrection did nothing about that even though they recommended these 3rd party conciliators we paid for to us. We somehow received the blame and were called liars even though we have the paper trail for all of this. Do not go to this church. There are other obvious reasons why not to (Bubba paid for the church with money from the Mars Hill global fund, a fund specifically described for use to fund churches outside the US). It is all about Jesus. People here present the Bible in its historical context. This group of people will care for your soul and help you connect to God and experience freedom from sin. The music is loud but earplugs are provided. Pastor Bubba is a clear and authentic speaker who promotes truth.
