Madison Church has been my church home for over a year, and in that time, I’ve experienced spiritual growth and the spiritual community I had been praying to be led to. From my very first visit, Pastor Stephen made an effort to personally connect by reaching out and offering to meet with me. Having experienced almost every Christian denomination, I was eager to explore this community, ask big faith questions, and see how it reflected Jesus’ teachings. Madison Church became a place where I found room for deeper exploration. What stood out to me, and ultimately kept me here, was the church’s unique blend of being approachable, inclusive, intimate, and intellectually enriching. Through the messages and engaging in the small groups, I’ve been challenged to grow spiritually in ways I’ve hoped for. This is a church where I’ve been seen and supported through my highs and lows. God brought me the friends I had been praying to find here at MC, serving both within and beyond the church walls with people who truly care. If you’re seeking a faith community rooted in Jesus’ teachings and dedicated to living them out in all inclusive love, I recommend getting to know Madison Church. Its casual, welcoming atmosphere makes it easy to step into, whether church is a familiar part of your life, or something entirely new. I rarely write reviews and I’ve never reviewed a church before, but I feel compelled to write about Madison Church and its people. I came to Madison Church (MC) in 2023 a broken woman. I was grieving, lost, and carrying emotional trauma, some of which was from my deep distrust of religious institutions. As a bisexual woman, my previous church experience left me feeling unwelcome and rejected for who I am. The contrast between that experience and Madison Church is profound, which is why I immediately knew I was “home” the first Sunday I attended. From Pastor Stephen to the elders and attendees, I was welcomed with open arms. God meets us where we are, and so does Madison Church. Since that first Sunday, I’ve joined small groups that have taught me invaluable lessons and helped me grow closer to both God and my community. I’ve volunteered to help our greater community of Madison, which is core to MC’s values, living out Jesus’s teachings in practical ways. Madison Church isn’t just about Sunday services, it’s about following Jesus daily and embodying His love. Pastor Stephen not only guides our congregation in understanding and living out Jesus’s teachings but also empowers us to be leaders as we journey forward with Jesus. The mission of Madison Church is simple yet powerful, connecting people with God, and each other. My spiritual and emotional growth continues each day through prayer, community, listening to Jesus’s teachings, and daily reading, all of which is encouraged at Madison Church. My life is forever changed since walking into Madison Church, and I thank God each day for leading me back home. Madison Church is truly a God-sent community of people who will love on you like crazy. As soon as your walk through those doors, be ready for your heart to be forever changed. As someone whose been living a nomadic lifestyle, I can confidently say this is the most welcomed I’ve felt in years by fellow believers. The pastor, Stephen, and recently ordained pastor, Kyle both made me feel super seen and belonged. I went to their summer worship night and felt God’s presence in my interactions with them. If you’re someone who is feeling lost or in need of people to fully see your worth in God, please go to this church. It’ll be the best decision you ever make in your life! Madison Church has a friendly environment. I love the message, music, and people. I have been going to Madison Church west campus since January 2017. I have finally found my forever church. So come and check MC downtown out if your looking for a new church. I also love how we give back to our community. Either it from serving Thanksgiving meal to the neighborhood, or handing out Christmas gifts to families. Madison Church is a place for real people with real stories and from all backgrounds to come and belong. Each weekly message finds a way to encourage and uplift my daily life. I am so glad to be apart of the Madison Church family and even though miles separate us from physically being together, I am blessed with the knowledge that nothing can separate us from the love of God, in Christ Jesus our Lord.
