River Ridge is a church like no other. Very laid back. Come as you are. No judges simply plain great people. Since I have started at River Ridge my life seems more content and in control. The sermons are with humor and much wealth. The pastors all have a great sense of humor and put it in a way you fully understand. My whole way of life seems to have been lifted due to the messages that really hit home. Matt has a way he explains the scriptures to our understanding. Then you have a safe place you can take your children for their own learning of the Bible in a way they can understand and not be bored. There are all kinds of different areas for all age groups with amazing volunteers whom dedicate their selves to teach the word of God in a way they can understand. This is from babies to college! They think of everything! I am very proud to be a part of River Ridge and so very glad I joined! If you have an emptiness in your heart come join up on Sunday morning with an early one starting at 9:45 and also at 11:15 every Sunday mornings. Plenty of free parking with coffee and donuts also. So come join up. You will be glad you did! My family and I have been attending River Ridge for a few years now. We love this church. It is a come-as-you-are church that cares more about your soul than your clothes. It is a very welcoming church focused on spreading God's word and love to the Charleston area, and worldwide. The music is live and contemporary. The sermons are more teaching than preaching. There is also a church for children, as well as a strong youth program. I highly recommend this church if you want a relaxed atmosphere in which to hear God's word and fellowship with other like-minded Christians. Great, friendly, super kid friendly, you'll grow in ways you never realized here and so will your kids and teens..lots of hands on outside ministries, mission trips, Bible studies, men's breakfasts, women's gatherings and retreats. Give them a try, I think you'll be pleased!! I attended riverRIDGE until they invited a lying judge who violates the United States Constitution and state rules, as a guest speaker. Pastor Santen refused to allow a counter-presentation to let people know about the judge's misconduct. We loved his preaching and the small groups. However, churches should NEVER allow documented liars to use the platform! Warm and welcoming! Friendly volunteers from the parking lot to the coffee maker!
