What visitors say
Very blessed by the warmth, hospitality, and love me and my family felt the couple times we visited (from out-of-state) over the years. They do strive to hold to the teachings of Jesus, even the very unpopular teachings, like divorce and remarriage. "He that is able to receive it (His teachings), let him receive it." Thankfully, Jesus words are life, though is sad most reject his life-giving teachings. A church full of very gracious, hospitable people. Plus, the sanctuary sounds excellent for choral singing. From the first time I visited cheyenne Christian fellowship I knew there was something wrong with them. They have encouraged my wife and kids to stay away from me and that the leaders are her new authority. Not me. With direction from the leadership my family has taken me to court to put a protection order against me for even watching my children at a distance. ( because I love them). These people operate as a cult. I would not recommend anyone to visit there. And of all people Robert preaches about Resentment in Gods people. When he is the perpetrator of that very thing. Creating resentment in our own family. This church has no heart for single mothers or troubled young women, while they create them by refusing membership to any man (or woman) they feel need to leave marriages as they deem them not valid in God's eyes... they care nothing for the women and children affected by their church's influence and requirements for membership. Assistance is only grated if the woman "submits" herself to being separated and then "submits" to church leadership as her new "authority"... They care nothing for the emotional and spiritual abuse they inflict on women having to "submit" to all the men in the church that now get to publicly discuss and decide over every aspect of her and her children's lives... you either submit or get "shunned" (which includes your children and no help of any kind). I know this because Cheyenne Christian Fellowship did this to me and my children and not once in 8 years has the church offered any help of any kind (or even a kind word for that matter) after inflicting this tremendously painful blow to me and my children. Mercy (unmerited favor / loving kindness) is the last thing taught and lived out in this church. My children and I have endured great suffering as a direct consequence of my husband's leaving us. Yet, they receive him warmly for visits offering praises for his decision to leave us... all while caring nothing for our hardships and suffering. My husband has often been a guest in member's homes while me and my children could barley keep our home above 50 degrees. Anabaptist heritage beliefs unite this small group of believers in Jesus. The group dynamics have changed as people and leaders have come and gone, but the desire to walk out the scriptures with integrity remains unchanged.
