Update #2 Thank you! "Spiritual Gifting Christ Church affirms that the Holy Spirit continues to bestow spiritual gifting in every single follower of Jesus for the sake of building up each local church (Romans 12:6–8; 1 Corinthians 12:8–10; 12:28; Ephesians 4:11). While the New Testament office of apostle and prophet have ceased to function with the conclusion of their responsibilities in the church (Ephesians 2:20; Revelation 22:18–19), we believe all other giftings continue in various places, times, and contexts. Therefore, we will anticipate and celebrate every manifestation of the Spirit that is identifiable through biblical definitions and order (1 Corinthians 11, 12, 14; 1 Thessalonians 5:19–21). The pastoral team takes seriously the responsibility to ensure this biblical order and exercises of Spirit giftings in every church gathering (1 Corinthians 14:40; 1 Peter 5:1–5). We identify then as neither a Charismatic nor non-Charismatic church, but rather embrace the tension of Spirit-filled and Spirit-led diversity under biblical authority in our church family, as we are “eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace” (Ephesians 4:3)." UPDATE: Cessationism detected on visit 5. We stayed after to ask Pastor Jared about it. He did speak with us & wasn't very warm. We decided we'd return to Trinity in Scottsdale, a church we visited for a few months in 2024. We have gone several weeks in a row now. Love the messages, the praise & worship, lack of "tithing" manipulation! We are Charismatic but not hypercharismatic & feel really comfortable here so far. May start giving financially soon. Haven't seen any red flags. I don't live far from the church. I'm so glad it's there because my car is gone. It died so I'm glad the church is there and I can walk to it. I go to the early service and it's cooler out but I take my umbrella and water. It's a nice shirt. The praise and worship is beautiful. I love the praise in worship. So and he teaches the word god's word, and he's funny too just a little bit, just a little bit, ha, ha, ha ha ha ha. I HAVE BEEN OUT IN GILBERT SINCE DEC 2021 LOOKING FOR A CHURCH WELL I FOUND MY CHURCH THANK GOD 😇🙏 FELT WELCOME ON THE SATURDAY SERVICE ,GREETED BY TIM VERY NICE PEOPLE AND A WONDERFUL, POWERFUL, SERMON I FELT BLESSED Such an great church for me. The messages are all based on the Bible and pastors encourage conversation if you feel it wasn’t or if you have concerns about a elder. I service every month and I love to worship God at this church. There is no shame or judgment but truth and not mine or another truth but Gods truth. The others are always willing to help and always ready to listen. One great thing is the encouragement to join small groups to keep you grounded and keep you accountable throughout the week so you are not just going to church on Sunday. You are still receiving a message and conversing about the messages that are being taught. It’s all in the Bible, pick it up and the truth is in there. Glory to God ! Bible based, Christ-centered church. Contemporary worship that rocks! Recently started a Spanish service. Child care, youth, high school, and young adults groups. Classes and bible studies available during the week. Something for everyone!
