My family and I showed up here almost by accident. We were on our way to church and realized we had left too late. We almost went back home but decided we would pivot and let God guide us and ended up here as we could check our kids in and get to service on time. We were welcomed many times, there seems to be a great community, my 8 yo was so excited about everything she learned, so they actually had her engaged instead of just playing! My husband and I loved the hard truths, brutal honesty and conviction. Everything he spoke of really matched what we want for our families and aligned with our values. There is such a realness in Pastor Josh’s message that is relatable and honorable. Went to this church today after watching last weeks service online. It is exactly what people who are inspired to go to church need at this time. Loved the message, the approach, the simplicity and the sense of community. Pastor Josh and his wife Jess were very welcoming. They also have security measures for kids area, and different groups for kids based on age. Already looking fwd to the next service. Walking up to church for the first time and having the senior pastor come up to me out of the blue and introduce himself was an amazing experience that I hadn’t had in other churches I attended in the valley. The spirit of God is definitely in this place. It is in no small part, because the Word of God is preached here. It is the foundation and the emphasis. What the Bible says is without a doubt taught here. I will definitely be coming back and looking for an opportunity to serve God as He sees fit. We are new to Goodyear Az and we needed to find a church to be involved with…so I prayed before doing a search asking God to lead us to a Christ centered Bible believing church! I checked the list of core values and beliefs of Purpose Church and attending today confirmed we were led to the right place! Thank you Pastor Josh for a fantastic God inspired message!🙏🏼 I attended Purpose Church for the first time today and had such a great experience! I felt completely comfortable leaving my child in the kids’ center. The team there was welcoming and made it easy to trust that my little one was in good hands. The sermon was both funny and powerful. The pastor had a great sense of humor but also delivered a meaningful message that stuck with me. Worship is always my favorite part of church, and I absolutely loved the worship team here! The music was heartfelt and uplifting. Overall, it felt like a warm, genuine community, and I’m already looking forward to coming back!
