My husband and I found Christ Church’s Central Phoenix campus in 2025 after searching for a church we could attend and grow in together as a married couple, and it has genuinely been life changing for us. What we appreciate most about the teaching at Christ Church is that every sermon is grounded in Scripture, provides proper biblical background and context, and delivers timely, practical application for everyday life. What I especially appreciate is the “Call to Respond” at the end of each message. It gives you an authentic, reflective way to sit with the Scripture throughout the week rather than just leaving it at the door on Sunday. With pastors like Nick Ely, Adam Bailie, and KJ leading the teaching, there is consistent depth and quality no matter who is preaching. Beyond the Sunday service, the small groups and Bible studies here are the real deal. They go deep, and the people in them genuinely care about growing together in faith. We have found the congregation to be beautifully diverse, spanning a wide range of ages, racial backgrounds, and cultural experiences. The church reflects a genuine mix of people united by our faith, and we have always felt seen, included, and welcomed as part of this community. Whether you’re new to faith, returning to church after some time away, have a family with kids, or are simply looking for a church that takes the Bible and discipleship seriously, we couldn’t recommend Christ Church enough. Come as you are and we hope to see you soon! Plagiarizing myself (I left the same review on their FB page): I had planned to visit another church today, but when I arrived the parking lot looked full, and the inside looked jam-packed, so I decided to drive to Christ Church in central Phoenix - I was already considering visiting sometime anyway. Happy I did! The two staff members (Taylor and Michael) greeting new attendees were cordial, warm, and expressed genuine enthusiasm at my recent (re)conversion to Christianity. Michael gave me a brief tour of the church and walked me to the seating area. Pastor Nick was pleasant to listen to. His zeal was evident but not overbearing. His willingness to openly confess his past transgressions and to use them to illustrate the point of his sermon was effective. He also had a knack for using spot-on analogies, citing debate terms (e.g. "strawman" and "caricature"), and quoting past Christian thinkers without coming off as intellectually showy (e.g. he quoted a prayer long attributed to Augustine: "Lord, grant me chastity... but not yet," eliciting a chuckle from the crowd). To wit: he struck a near perfect balance between faith and reason. I definitely plan to return! I really like this church! This has been a church I’ve been able to connect with different members that want to encourage and pray for me. I’ve had experience with addiction and homelessness and the different members here were really able to be a huge encouragement to me while I battled that! I also like how they go through chapters of the Bible. This is a very unique church and the staff and the pastor is very welcoming! I strongly suggest checking this place out. And introduce yourself to a random member, if this is your first time going and you’ll see the love as well! I try not to spread negativity, I am going to give my honest experience. I've attended this church 3 times in the last year or so. The positives are the wonderful musicians who honor christ and Nick, the lead pastor, who has a caring but strong steadfast love for Jesus and truly exemplifies his spirit through his sermons. However, I cannot ignore the elephant in the room. I am not white and do not look like the main demographic that attends this church. I love every background of people that roam this earth as Jesus did and would hope to feel welcome in the lord's house. I am routinely ignored in this church and today (packed house I'll add), one of the volunteers noticed me but spoke and addressed the Caucasian woman next to me as she was alone as well. She quickly helped her find a seat and I was ignored. I will unfortunately keep following my faith with the lord alone and I know this will not be a place I am welcome. Have a blessed day 🙏🏼 God is moving in this church! 🙌 The kids ministry is amazing and the worship is spirit filled! Praise the Lord for this church and the pastors overseeing this church! Continue to pray against opposition and for the schemes of the devil to not hinder the work of the Lord here! Thankful for this church and the impact they are having in the community! 🙌
