Have you ever walked into a church and the spirit of God met you at the door? That’s what it was like visiting Alive Church for the first time. The presence of God was so full in the atmosphere from the opening prayer, throughout worship and especially in the Word that was delivered. Everyone was so welcoming and made us feel like family. Even as visitors, when Pastors Derek and Susan found out my (then fiancé and I) were engaged, they offered to give us marriage counseling even though we still living in Texas. The time they took out of their busy schedules to ensure we were entering marriage on the right foot meant the world - so much so that we knew we were home. God provided confirmation shortly after and before we knew it, we were driving across the country to move to California and become official members of Alive Church. It has honestly been the second best decision we’ve made, (the first was choosing to fully surrender to God - something we truly hadn’t stepped into until visiting and tuning in to services at Alive regularly). We are so thankful for the extended family God has given us by joining Alive. There’s no place we’d rather be on a Sunday morning. We didn’t just find a community, we found a Christ centered family. *Highly Recommended!* I've found a home at Alive Church! The community of people so loving and supportive, developing meaningful relationships that go beyond Sunday services. Praise and worship is uplifting, and creates an atmosphere that allows for one to be free and themselves.
