Beautiful church and school. Warm and friendly. A great place to worship. We were there for mass and a celebration. Witnessed some pretty severe liturgical abuse during Mass while traveling here last spring. Not only were they singing alleluias during Lent, but they also had laypeople reading the gospel, interrupting it repeatedly to sing songs. A truly disturbing experience. I would advise finding a Catholic Church that actually treats the Mass with the solemnity and respect that is warranted. I haven't been to church in a very long time. I'm talking decades. Given my history I never expected to be accepted this way into a church. I'll be here every Sunday regardless of what else is going on in my life. Because it seems to me to be a genuine place. The kind of place where I can come to terms with my past and finally connect with God. Signed up for their baptism workshop and we were pretty much picked on because we wouldn't go to church every Sunday. Our God mother to be was embarrassed by the priest cause she had her daughter at a young age. When we finally survived that workshop we had to make another appointment to meet with the priest before the baptism. We called for a month and heard nothing back. Finally we made an appointment and on the day of the priest cancelled on us and said he would call us back to make another appointment. Never happened. We called two more times and nothing. So, in the end we just gave up. I felt like I was judged from people who are supposed to inspire faith and much more. A lot more happened at the workshop but i won't mention any more Was a lay minister here, and I have to confess I knew next to nothing about the Holy Faith. But this is the Novus Ordo Church, completely and purposely disconnected from Tradition. Thankfully now, I am a sedevacantist and wait for the day when the Latin Mass and the Dogmas of the Church may be reestablished. Pax Christi.
