I'm honored to have JR Carmichael as my pastor. His staff truly elevated our church. We now are more involved and love the message that SHB brings to the community of Burbank. This congregation does not judge and gives back 100%. We are blessed to call this establishment our family. Plus, Miss Maria is the children's director and couldn't ask for a better role model for our daughter ❤️ Very different vibe since it was passed on to another pastor years back. Was a very fun, lively & packed church and now it just has a different atmosphere. But the important thing is spreading the word of the Lord 💞 Best Church I have had the privilege to attend. I visit numerous congregations throughout Southern California & by far South Hills is at the top of my list. It’s obviously not as crowded as one of the mega stadium seating churches but that allows you to actually be acknowledged and greeted. They have multiple people greet you and that allows you to feel welcomed and I appreciate the diversity and hospitality. Very unique experience. The worship team is very intimate and you feel easily connected to worship and the message is communicated effectively and in a respectful amount of time. Here I found family and friends. So grab a friend, checkout Sunday Service. 8 AM Service 10 AM ServIce 1130 AM. I found my congregation. I've met a lot of amazing people please. Please come join and feel at home I hadn't gone back to a church since the pandemic and it felt ok. The music was nice but it had more sound of the instruments than the voice of the singers I could barely hear them. I'm pretty sure they sing beautifully so let there be more voices of the singers. The pastor there has a name that you would never forget "JR" Pretty easy huh? His preaching was good so I guess I will go back and check it out again. Oh and this church has like a little coffee shop but the coffee is free and you can grab some coffee and go listen to the service or get coffee after the service. They also give you donuts which I don't eat donuts, But that's very nice for the people that do. The only thing not nice that I have to say is that when I was grabbing some coffee after the service, this lady behind me that I guess wanted to grab some coffee too. She looked at me like I didn't belong I guess she just wanted her coffee. I did see she knew people there because she was calling them by their names. But no worries, she's not going to stop me from going back Because I like the service.
