I was invited to Story City Church in 2020 ( Pandemic time) by my neighbors, a very nice couple who also had a wonderful spirit. When I visited Story City for the 1st time, I understood where and how my neighbors got their beautiful spirit. From the Pastor to All the congregation, they are beautiful, loving, kind hearted, welcoming, friendly, caring Christian. This church is a Home. They Pray, they have Bible study small groups, they have church events, The preached word is the truth, uplifting, spirit moving, Hallelujah Amen fulfilling. The songs they sang every Sunday create a room for spiritual praise and honor to God welcoming God’s presence. I’ve never, not one Sunday gone to Story City Church and Not been feed a Good word, greeted by welcoming friendly people, felt Gods presence, not enjoyed the songs and the service. The love you get and feel at this church is beautiful and Godly. They invite you in as family regardless of race. The neighbors who invited me were white, the people who invited me to their birthday parties, baby showers, house, dinner, book writers group, were white and black. The 1st day I visited as I was walking out a lady ran after me to greet me, welcome me, introduced herself, talked to me, prayed for me right then and there and gave me her number. I left that day so happy, oh and yes she was a white lady who is actually a celebrity still doing movies today. I can’t began to name the amazing people there because there’s not enough space here but just know this church has learned how to live as true Godly people with the love of God in their hearts. They welcome everyone regardless of your race. I made friends and found them to be like family in and outside of my race and learned more about how God is while going to Story City. They are not a religious church they are a Godly Church. Preaching and teaching the true word of God. The Pastor Jarred is amazing. He studies the word and preaches it from the spirit of God, the anointing of the Holy Spirit. I don’t praise man, I praise God so I’m thankful for the good word that the pastor preached but Pastor didn’t just preach a good word. He prayed and taught and lived a good word. He didn’t act Holier than thou. He never claimed to be perfect, he preached Gods Word and always showed Godly love. I asked him for prayer and not only did he pray but he’s set up meetings to talk. It was easier for me to do zoom so we met on zoom. He listened. Then explained and he prayed for me. Amen. I joined the morning pray team that prays early before the service starts. Even they prayers blessed me. They didn’t Preach/ Pray, they prayed to Gods ears from their heart as ambassadors of Christ for the church for the Pastor for the service for the block for the city The praise praised team etc. AMEN. I moved and I’m no longer there but I tell you I haven’t found another church like Story City yet But I am still friends with a lot of people that I’ve connected with there because they are beautiful people from their soul and the spirit. If you’re Anywhere near Burbank, California Story City is a church to call home. Incredible gathering of people who deeply care about the community & sharing God's love! The sermons are Gospel-centered & the donuts are delicious. Kids have a fun, safe place to play, learn, & be known individually by passionate, fun-loving teachers. SCC thrives on welcoming newcomers & offers a life of joy through Jesus Christ! 😊🤗 I love this church. I love the Bible centered messages. I love the heart felt amazing worship lead by a variety of very talented people. My husband and I work with the elementary aged children at least twice a month and alternate with another couple who are amazing. My husband is diligent to study the scripture/story being taught and prepare the lessons in advance, and we plan fun activities to reinforce the lessons. It is a joy getting to know the kids and their parents, and sharing the truths of God's words with them. Stopped in from out of town and very much appreciated the kindness, friendliness, and sincere adherence to a scripture-based teaching. Great church, I hope to stop back sometime. I just moved from Arizona to California and it’s been really hard for me to find a place where I don’t feel overwhelmed or to much judgement. I came here and I was welcomed and greeted with so many smiles even if I sit in the corner by myself someone always comes to speak to me. I feel welcomed and it’s really my safe space. The pastor and his wife are amazing people. The whole worship team is AMAZING I honestly feel like I’m at a concert every time which makes my experience more heartfelt I cry every time because god is amazing and I love it so much I can’t wait until it’s Sunday. The pastor makes it so easy and fun to learn about the word and I can relate. This place honestly makes moving to a diffrrent state with no friends or family super comforting and I can’t wait to meet and learn about everyone! I love love love love this church !
