What visitors say

I love the music they play at the beginning of service. The daughter of the pastor keeps my attention. The band is Good. The pastor is funny and sweet. Several of my boyfriend’s family members go here and enjoy the service. Building is welcoming. The people who work here are so nice too. The food is good too. Yesterday, I was a first-time visitor there. Right off the bat, you can see that there is some kind of dress code being followed (very formal for men and modesty for women). There is also some emphasis on a certain denomination / doctrine. Church seems to be focusing on structure, strict adherence, and to some extent ritualistic behavior. Nothing wrong with these things, if that is what you are looking for. But a word of caution for those who seek more of a non-denominational, relaxed and friendly environment. One specific incident stood out for me. Right after the worship, before they get into announcements and messages, I stepped out to the lobby to use restroom. My family was seated in one of the front rows. When I re-entered the sanctuary, I was promptly stopped by an usher (an elderly gentleman). He said I could not return to my seat because at that time Prayer was going on. The Usher also said that the Holy Spirit is active during the prayer, therefore I could not walk in the aisle and disrupt the environment. He then placed his hand on my shoulder and started praying (I wasn't sure if he was genuinely praying for me or was physically restraining me from moving forward). He was not angry or rude, but he wasn't pleasant and welcoming either. I guess, he was resolute in enforcing what he believed to be the "right order" in the Church service. Maybe it works for some people, but it left me a bit disturbed for rest of the service. I had never experienced this in a church (big or small). I am thankful to Victory Outreach. This place makes miracles happen. Thank you for everything ❤️ Nice clean atmosphere, I felt welcomed. However the volume on the speakers during the music and singing/worshipping was extremely loud. I almost walked out because it was to loud. I might give this place a second chance because I do need a church to attend. And the church I used to go to Eastside Christian church is to far away. Truly a House of Miracles A people that you can call Family A Family that welcomes you Home A Home where you feel loved Pastor Sonny Jr and His Wife Kim are Amazing Pastors, Shepherds, Loving and Authentic. If you are searching… Please come and experience what so many others have found here…, we are saving you a seat.
