What visitors say
My first time at this church and everyone was very friendly and welcoming. They made me feel accepted and at home. The choir was awesome, like a concert. Lots of singing and high energy. Everyone is super upbeat. No doubt about it, this is a politically conservative leaning church, so if you disagree with that then you probably won't like it. They believe in the Bible and if it's a sin in the Bible, it will be a sin regardless of what you'd prefer. If you're conservative then yes this is a good church and you'll feel right at home. God is the God of both Liberals and Conservatives, however it's good to have a place where people share similar political and moral values. They also have full on armed security if you're worried about going to a Conservative church in a Liberal majority city. They take your safety seriously. It's not a huge mega church but not a small church either. Check it out if you like high energy worship, and if you're low energy, you can still relax and essentially enjoy the show and be in the presence of God. And if you're a Conservative in California, all the negative 1 star reviews are the best advertisement and recommendation for this church, all the negative reviews are what made me go to this church and I'm glad I did. Wonderful church which seeks to preach the Lord’s word while being relatable and lighthearted. The Holy Spirit is present here and all are welcome! Great church with pastors who speak truths and do not appear to fear repercussions. If you embrace a leftist socialist worldview and are looking for like-minded messaging you may find more comfort in your nearest United Methodist location. If you want to see and feel the transformative power of Jesus, come to Awaken. I brought my son in for youth group and all the women acted like i was there to steal their man 🤣🤣🤣 the leader of the youth groups wife had to come give him a huge kiss in front of everyone while he was talking to me, it was sooo awkward. awful look! Glad to see its not just me and this place already has terrible ratings. I've always thought it a little funny to write a review of a church online because it is such a personal experience, but I feel like I need to say that through Awaken, God has been transforming me. I am so proud of this church for reopening during the ridiculous shutdowns of 2020/2021 and breathing life into people every week despite the demands not to! Great leadership and a wonderful family atmosphere are what you will find!
