What visitors say
Visiting from Eastlake (Chula Vista) and when a choir member asked parishioners if anyone is visiting and I raised my hand and told them I’m from Eastlake, the whole church not only gave me a “warm welcome” but also applauded. This parish are very welcoming and very kind, I plan to visit again soon on my next visit to Santee! Very welcoming every time we visit. My little ones love going to the family mass at 10am. This is a wonderful, caring church. I went to this church for a year and a half when I would come visit my mom in Santee when she was very sick. When my mom passed away last month everyone was so compassionate and they helped me plan my mom's funeral, it was a beautiful Mass. Father Andre, Patti in the office, Kathy the funeral director and the women's guild who provided the lunch were all so amazing, I could feel God's love through them during this difficult time. This will definitely be my church home when I come to visit family in Santee. Attended the Lokahi Festival 2024 - great food! Had the poke and ube cookies. Chula Vista hula troop had a wonderful performance, showed all ages could dance hula. Something for everyone with lei-making demonstrations and tattoo booth in air-conditioned hall, nice place to chill from the heat. Swap meet stalls had lots of local crafts and foods. A little bit of Hawaii in the middle of Santee. Priest is awesome with awesome sermons. The parishioners need a lot of work. They talk aloud in there with other parishioners, not taking into consideration when you are praying or meditating. I hate to say this, but they are not too friendly either. May God change their attitudes, especially in his house. You have my prayers.
