Beautiful place to worship. Amazing lead pastor. I remember as a small child living next door to the church and helping my parents and the Elders and all the families help build the church from the ground up. I remember picking up nails off of the concrete with the other siblings and kiddos. I will never forget Les and Maxine Finney who was a vital part of all the kids and young adults growing up in the church. So vividly I remember Pal club and hunting Easter eggs in the back parking lot. The annual church picnic at El Monte park and especially church camp up in the mountains. My Mom worked in the office and did custodial as well. A lot of fine memories. Dr Lewis was our pastor back then. I got to visit the church several years ago and got to see some pictures on the wall brought me to tears. I think God for The First Church of the Nazarene in El Cajon. I pray for the Church all the time and the roots the church gave me and my parents taking me to church regularly. God bless the folks who dedicated their life starting the church in El Cajon so many I can't mention. I was amazed at the diversity of this congregation—young, middle aged & old / poor, disabled & wealthy / white, black, Hispanic & Asian. And they are very friendly and welcoming to newcomers. They love God, the Bible, and the community. Truly a church worth checking out. I attended a memorial for a dear friend. Best service i ever attended. The Pastor was great in helping Eva plan her memorial. I noticed by walking by that I would love to join New Life so I submitted a response on the website.
