It is a spiritual sanctuary. I had my first communion here as well as baptizing my 2 children .They also had their first communion here too. My mother’s funeral mass also here in April 2019. I have had a lot of beautiful memories in this sanctuary. No matter who is the pastor, this church will always feel home to me for those reasons. Keep up the blessed work here at Santa Sophia. My prayers to the clergy and all that keep this church holy and beautiful.❤️ God Bless. Beautiful, classic cathedral style church supporting the local Catholic school and dioces. Beautifully landscaped. An anchor and pillar in the community for decades. Very nice parish church ⛪️ I'm pretty sure this is going to be the new place for my wife and myself. This was my great-grandmother’s, grandmother’s, godparent’s, and great-aunts and uncle’s church. My parents were married here. I was baptized here. My childhood Sundays began here. And it’s the reason I am no longer a Catholic. The greed of their pastor is incredible. He tried to tell my family that my aunt told him on her death bed that she wanted the church to have enough money for their roof. She never woke up in the hospital to tell anyone anything. He was there for less than 5 minutes while double parked behind the handicapped space. After years of my aunts taking him on trips to Vegas! None of our family have returned to this church after her funeral. He could have just asked for the money without the lies. We knew how devoted she was.
