What visitors say

Let me start by saying this review is not about the church itself but specifically about the school and its staff. My son started attending St. Joseph Preschool at the beginning of January. The first week went well but by the second week I started receiving complaints that he was “too active” and didn’t listen. Five weeks later the director Suzy asked me to reduce his schedule from five days to three because the teachers were unable to do the bare minimum and manage him. I declined due to my work as I occasionally help my husband and was also preparing to start a new job. The very next day they began sending me videos of my son running around while his teacher, Ms. Rita sat and did nothing and the TA Lindsey recorded him instead of redirecting him. I responded respectfully saying I would talk to my son but reducing his days was not an option. Right after I sent that message she replied back saying that he was “not a good fit” and given two weeks for reevaluation. I was even told I should inform my new job “never mind” in case he couldn’t remain at the school. When I met with Suzy in person and asked what I could do to help she was not willing to work with me. When I asked what would happen if he improved during those two weeks (which he did) she sarcastically laughed in my face and said “maybe in the miracle of St. Joseph” instead of giving me some hope. During those 2 weeks 3 different teachers worked with my son and all of them told me he was doing well, listening, and behaving well. They did mention that he is active but also said that this is normal for kids his age and have kids who act worse than him in that school and specifically in that class. These teachers were kind, professional, and clearly cared about the children. (You know who you are) I later found out from staff that Lindsey the TA had been taking unnecessary pictures of my son and sending them to Suzy claiming he wasn’t cooperating even on days he was doing well. One teacher even confronted her about how unnecessary that was after it happened in front of her. What’s most frustrating is that the school refused to make any accommodations for my son, yet made adjustments for another child within just one week, even moving that child to a different class. Suzy and Roseann were extremely rude throughout this entire process. I reached out to Roseann and never received a response. On his last day she told me that he’s really not a good fit and was speaking to me with such a bad attitude as if I or my son did something bad to her. She also told me if I provided a doctor’s note explaining how to “handle” my son, they might consider taking him back. despite the fact that he is completely normal and simply active. They offended me in so many way on so many levels but I kept it calm just for my son to stay. On his last day after they gave me all his stuff I also noticed that his pull-ups were barely used which shows that he wasn’t being properly changed throughout the day. It became very clear that this school is inconsistent and very very unprofessional. These people are in for the money. If you donate money for them they will take care of your child. It’s all about hookups!! There seems to be favoritism, and not all children are treated equally. After this happened I found out that a few parents have argued with Suzy and left because of her nasty attitude. My son was essentially removed for behaving like a typical 3 year old. Now my son is attending another school where he is thriving and receiving ZERO complaints. Sending my son to St. Joseph was the worst decision I made. I strongly recommend that parents reconsider enrolling their children here until major improvements are made in staff training, communication, and overall care. Otherwise, stay away from this place. This church new name is Saint Joseph Chaldean Catholic Church Mass Times: 8:30 AM - Chaldean 10 AM - Arabic 12 PM - English I am giving them 4stars for this only reason which is: the secretary is an awesome person, very friendly and helpful and unusual in the Chaldean Catholic Churches! The priest father Philip is very friendly with the community. This was my meeting house when I was a kid. I think from 1995 to 2002. Always had a fond memory of the sacrament room, and the rock wall behind the pulpit.
