I visited the church twice last year, felt a bit overwhelmed with the many questions about where I am from(I guess because of my accent they wanted to know my ethnicity or is i was really American). I don't mind talking about who I am and what I do but it didn't felt organic, it felt more like an interrogation. There was no followup or attempt for me to keep coming or same my life. I ended up finding another church where they immediately welcomed me and didn't pry too much about me. They even came to my home to save my soul, I felt much more appreciated. Sad that I couldn't be part of an apostolic Christian church like i was raised. The Point Church has been a great fit for my family. The people are kind and loving. Pastor Mike is amazing! I love my church! I came to The Point about 8 years ago looking for a good church to raise kids in and haven't left since. The people were all so warm and welcoming and I have made many lifelong friends here. The Pastor and Pastor's wife are some of the greatest people I know. Pastor is an amazing teacher of the Bible, is a great leader, and funny too, so services are always engaging and allow me to take something and implement it in my every day life. The worship in the services is awesome. You can really feel God's spirit. And I never feel self-conscience about how I worship here. My kids (8 months, 2 years, and 4 years) all love Sunday school and their teachers. They have learned many Bible stories to give them a good foundation in the Word. If you want a church that feels more like a family and has a real sense of community, come to The Point. I'm looking for a church where the pastor is himself when preaching and not performing, I'm looking for a church without legalism. I came to this church by way of my son while I was in a very dark place. I was welcomed with open arms and such love that is given a family member. I received the Holy Spirit who taught me to speak in tongues and got baptized soon after. I am thankful for this most awesome spiritual gift that God has seen fit to give me. It is through the guidance and teachings of Pastor Sargent that I have learned and grown so much in Faith.
