This church is small but it has a lot of heart. and soul, and Pastor Bob, and all the church members are amazing. Every Monday night at 6:00 pm they serve the homeless ( anyone who's hungry welcome) a very delicious homemade dinner. God Bless them. Orangethorpe United Methodist Church has a new Pastor - Pastor Rey Guevara. Wasn’t very impressed with the former Pastor. Pastor Rey is a phenomenal Preacher that speaks from the heart (not from a written script), on scripture that relates to real life issues. The bilingual congregation is welcoming and inviting - our first visit was a feeling of friendship and not at all that awkward first visit you get at many churches. The church has a lot going on so if you’re in the area I would highly recommend you stop by and check it out for yourself. I’m glad we did. As an entertainer I Was clearly taken advantage of by “God’s Gypsy Christian Church” they did not pay the agreed amount and where rude to me by making empty promises of tip, they also made me start and hour later then planned and even sending me the wrong address. Clearly not a professional church, Ruby was the person who hired me and not once helped me with the party, ruby even paid me 2/3 of the price we agreed on. I’m a kind person for church organizations but being clearly taken advantage of hurts. Was grateful they were able to accept a donation of mac and cheese and mashed potatoes. Thank you, Jan Friendly, Quick and easy place where we got our vaccines.
