Excellent ministry and very 'open' and accepting new people into the church. Pastor is very committed and his sermons are very well spoken and and enlightening! I've been a Roman Catholic all my life and was raised in a strict Christian setting. I've been to many different churches that were different beliefs and have only found one church out of the many hundreds that I have been to that I would recommend anyone that asks me, to go to: Compass Bible Church Huntington Beach! The music is very good and moving. Uplifts the spirit! But, the pastor is the bestt part of the service.! He speaks the Word with REAL emotion and fills the room with his love of God and knows what he is telling his congregation! He is NOT talking to hear himself speak or crave the attention of the crowd! He seems very genuine and you can feel God's love through his words and sermons! And, it's spoken with true feeli ng, and in a way that is very transparent and makes a point of his sermons. He does NOT just stand up there and babble on about bits and pieces of a particular part of the Bible and not teach us something. He is feeding our souls with God's word and you leave with a full heart and feel uplifted! That's what it's all about! Learn love and follow God's word! Solid Bible teaching church where the Gospel is proclaimed every week! Awesome children's ministry. A church for every family! I enjoy the church and pastor Bobby's teachings. My greatest struggle is that I have tried to get into a small group, but the ball has been dropped several times on their part. I have gone through the foundations course, met with The person in charge of connection, and again put my name in with someone with the Connections group. I have yet to be put into a small group. 😥 It looks like I am going to have to pursue another church to get put into a small group. Feels like the Pastor Bobby back doors salvation. Like you’re saved by faith BUT you’re saved by works?? Idk I was not feeling that sermon at all… I would avoid this church…watched the sermon online and the Bible is not being preached, but salvation by works is…which is something false religions believe. Christians are not under God’s wrath btw…The whole point in Jesus dying on the cross is so we WOULDNT perish…not because we have the potential to if we don’t work hard enough. JOHN 3:16💫🗡️ Be careful in these last days. There will be a lot of Pastors saying “Did God really say?” Like the serpent in the garden. Whether they perceive it themselves or not. But I pray those types of Pastors repent for making Christians think they have to work for their salvation. Our works is evidence of our faith and we want to do it because the Holy Spirit lives in us, BUT just like Paul we will have moments when we sin and it’s because we live in the flesh still ( read ROMANS 7:19-25 )🗡️💫 We will never be sinless on earth, that includes us Christians. Sinless perfection is heretical and so is salvation by works. If the Bible says we are saved by grace through faith and it’s not of ourselves, it’s the GIFT of God not of WORKS lest any man should boast…we should trust that over false teaching… Salvation is a FREE gift. 🎁 Amen! My colleague had told me about her church and mentioned they have a week long summer camp for kids. So we checked it out one Saturday and then signed him up for the camp. All I gotta say is I was blowwwn away by how amazing they made the camp for the kids. From completely decorating the kids building floor to ceiling, from the performances, to the worship music/ dances that make it fun for kids, the games, they make fun unique treats and provide snacks (asked my son the first day what he liked about it and he said the bomb snacks 💣) but most importantly their mission to teach kids about Jesus. The kids absolutely love this place and im so happy my colleague told us to check them out. Everyone i met so far has been friendly and gone out of their way to talk with us about the church and even their own personal stories of what brought them and their families to this church. I wish the adult worship had some fun dances like the kids side... I was too into it. 😄
