What visitors say

Parking is never lacking. There is always plenty of parking on Orange Avenue right in front of the church. Now, brace yourselves. The Priests accents are extremely difficult to understand and one of them likes to hold his parishioners hostage by keeping them waaaaay after Holy Communion, with extra long homilies, additional collections, and end-of-the-mass anniversary and birthday announcements. I detest this. Mass is supposed to be a celebration of the Liturgy & Eucharist. Not a celebration of so-and-so's Birthday. And don't even get me started on the 'encouraged' applause for these 'social' celebrations. The applause is irreverent and somehow detracts from the solemnity of the worship experience. If you are looking for a social hall Sunday celebration, this is your church! Love this church. I felt so welcome and the staff is wonderful and warm. Farthers are very friendly and helpful. Enjoy the Sunday service. St. Barnabas is a great church with a caring staff and it has a school k-8. We love the community and the parish is made up of not just the community around the church but also the families of those who attend the school here. This is a beautiful and simple church. I love going to Jesus house my grandson would say. I moved out of the city but still come to this church every Sunday. I feel home sweet home here, I can feel the holy spirit here. everyone is very welcoming, and the choir is awesome to listen to. Sunday i do the rosary at 8 and mass at 9.
