New to the Murrieta area and was searching for a new church to attend and found New Birth online. Came with my daughter and as soon as we entered we were greeted by the ushers with warm smiles. The sermon was pretty good and the pastor was funny and very spot on. At the end of church, walking out, the pastor was outside to greet and thank everyone for coming. I thought that was very nice. Hopefully this will be a new home for me and my family. This is a wonderful church, and there is never a boring moment from start to finish. The pastor is on fire and is relatable to all ages and all socio -economic groups. The congregation is 99% black, and the parishioners are responsive and authentic in their engagement with the Pastor. This is a 'Come as you are' church and even the pastor dresses casually. Unfortunately. there is no live choir, but the sermon is enough to compensate for the lack of a live music program. The church feels insular and it has not contacted to do a follow up and see if I want to join. That is the part that confuses me. When church ends. There is no real engagement. The pastor does not stand at the door and greet the parishioners or guests on the way out. People just get in their cars and drive home. I guess bc of covid. There is no live music, no hugs , no food 😢 💔 But the message is always on point!!! Love this church! Everyone is friendly and so welcoming. I highly recommend New Birth Church to anyone looking for a loving inclusive house of worship. Excellent place of worship, congregation is warm and loving! Great multicultural church. Awesome preaching, singing and music.
