What visitors say

My wife and I have been going to Mariners Church in Irvine since 2021, and we really love it here. We tried a few other churches before, but this one just felt like home. Even though it’s a big church, it still feels personal. People are friendly, the volunteers are kind, and we always feel welcomed. We love Pastor Eric (and the whole community around him). He’s faithful to the Word and his sermons are easy to understand and engaging. Every message points back to Jesus and challenges us to grow in our faith. The church has all kinds of ways to connect. Bible studies, theology classes, men’s/women's gatherings, the Rooted program, marriage nights. We’ve made some great friends here and found our little community inside the bigger church. Our two-year-old girl loves coming here too. The kids’ program is awesome, and it’s such a gift knowing she’s learning about Jesus from an early age. Most of all, I can honestly say I’ve felt God’s presence here. The Spirit as at work. The preaching has shaped my walk with Christ, and I’ve seen real fruit in my life because of it. No church is perfect, but from what I've seen I believe Mariners is faithful to the Word, and that’s what matters most to me. If you’re looking for a church or maybe just curious about God, come visit. You’ll be welcomed, encouraged, and reminded how real Jesus is. Mariners Church in Irvine is one of the most stunning wedding venues I’ve had the privilege of photographing. The campus is beautifully designed, with open spaces, modern architecture, and natural light that makes every moment feel timeless. The main sanctuary is spacious yet warm, creating an intimate setting even for larger gatherings. Couples also love the outdoor areas, which provide gorgeous backdrops for portraits and candid moments alike. From a photography perspective, the layout of Mariners makes it easy to capture both grand ceremony shots and quiet, emotional details. The staff is welcoming and organized, which allows the day to run smoothly for everyone involved. It’s always a joy to work here, and every time I return I’m reminded why this church is so highly regarded in Orange County. — Written as a professional photographer with PrinceWeddings.net, Orange County photographer. I spent some years searching for a church that felt like home. I was living in Huntington Beach and heard about the Rooted program at Mariners, along with the first “How to read the Bible” course. Christine Caine was speaking there one evening so I decided to go. She was absolute amazing! So o decided to sign up for Rooted and the Bible course. I started attending services every Sunday and actually looked forward to going to church! And still do to this day! I now live in Norwalk and my boyfriend and I make the drive! We even bring his two young sons and they enjoy the children’s program. I am so grateful for Mariners. I understand the message that is being delivered, they are not judgmental, but real in they was they delver God’s word. I read a review (the only 1 star review on here) saying they were judgmental and I have never ever experienced that. I know the same goes for so many of the people I have met at this church. It truly feels like home. Like God has His full blessings over this community. Mariner's Irvine hosted Dadfest in honor of Father's Day. Such a wonderful event and sense of community and purpose. Great food, music, and fun, too. The church spreads across a park-like campus. A little disorienting at first for newcomers. Still, the staff and volunteers gave warm welcomes. Returned for worship. Fantastic experience. Appreciated the message, in particular, and how Pastor Eric explained Romans 28:8 in a way never shared before and connected it to the series being taught on Genesis. Brilliant! Two bonuses: a terrific bookstore and cafe. (Get the chorizo and egg burrito.) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Every time we visit California, we make it a point to attend Mariners Church in Irvine, and it’s always such a blessing! This past Christmas was especially memorable. The energy, the warmth, and the presence of God were palpable throughout the entire experience. The church grounds are beautiful and so inviting, creating the perfect setting to connect with the community and feel at peace. The Christmas show and sermon were nothing short of amazing—well thought out, deeply inspiring, and filled with the spirit of the season. The message truly resonated with us and left a lasting impression. There’s something so special about Mariners Church. It’s a place where you can feel God’s love and the strong sense of unity among everyone there. We absolutely adore this church and look forward to attending every time we’re in California. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a meaningful and uplifting worship experience!
