As a Brazilian, I felt very welcomed at Aloha Church in Pacific Beach. The atmosphere is warm, friendly, and full of love. During the summer, services are held outdoors under the trees, which makes the experience even more special. After the service, everyone is invited to a picnic on the grass called “Stay a while”—a lovely opportunity to connect and build community while enjoying delicious food provided by the church! The church also offers small group meetings during the week, called mini-church, which help people grow closer and feel like part of a true family. I love this church; it brings me so much joy! Aloha Church feels like home. I’m so grateful to have found this place during my time in college. I’ve met so many kind people who really care to see me grow in faith. Drew’s preaching is always engaging, funny & life giving. I highly recommend going to Aloha for a Sunday service! Plus there’s always food after, can’t beat that! I’ve been to many different churches through the years. Some were wonderful and others I’d like to forget I ever went to but Aloha Church in San Diego has been my most favorite church experience of my life. It is such a sweet group of genuine people from all walks of life. It doesn’t feel showy or preachy. Just real honest church community. The stay awhile portion of the service is so sweet. We all eat together and hang out on the lawn after the worship service. This makes getting to know people so easy. I highly recommend!!! Aloha church has been a breath of fresh air. In the summer, they literally meet in the beautiful and shady grassy area at Mission Bay High School (auditorium in the winter). But I’m more refreshed by the pastor’s humble but funny messages that point out God’s true nature. We are not shackled to religious expectations; we are pursuing freedom in Jesus together. The worship is simple, not a production. The goal of the church seems to be relationship with God and with each other. “Come as you are” meets Biblical truth, gently encouraging us into God’s abundant life. Aloha Church is truly a special place! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with warm smiles and a genuine sense of welcome. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting, making it easy to feel at home. It’s clear that this is a family-oriented church, where people of all ages are valued and included. Whether you’re new to faith or have been walking the path for years, Aloha Church offers a supportive and loving community. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a church that feels like ohana!
